excellent program. Eye opening. Usually cautiously skeptical towards environmental films because of politics, although yours isn't the first documentary I have seen in regards to over-fishing and sea damage. I was unaware of the violence and slave labor used in the industry though.
Begs the old question... Can humans survive against 'human nature'?
I think a continuous national media presence to educate people as to what is really going on with the commercial fishing industry is probably one of the best ways to reduce the stress and damage to the oceans.
I always imagined a brighter future for the human race, which included a healthy, thriving natural environment. Seeing this is a reminder of just how precarious our future may be. Can humans choose a sustainable future, one which exists alongside a natural environment where wildlife thrives in balance, or are we going to herald in an apocalyptic existence that looks more like a scorched earth scenario.
