Agh Mike Flanagan is one of my favorite directors and every series he’s done i’ve loved but this one….did not meet the bar. Ilonka is a “pick me” girl. I’m sure the actress who plays her is great, but she had to play the most annoying character who I could barely listen to. Everything was extremely predictable, and the things that weren’t - were never revealed? Do we have to wait for another season? I have a feeling that we will never find out, and I’m not sure I even want to at this point. Something positive: I loved episode 8’s story told by Natsuki. That story was probably like the only part of this series that I really enjoyed. I just can’t even formulate my thoughts to write this. I wish so desperately that it was better because i’ve been looking forward to this series for months. ):
