Superb Trilogy by Neil Lancaster! Or will it be more than three? No 3, "Going Back" ultimately didn't commit either way, so maybe that's in the offing. I saw someone else had reviewed "Going Rogue" ( No 2) and thought, like me, No 3 may feature Tom getting fixed up at last with Pet....however, spectacularly silent and unaddressed. In "Going Rogue", the text touches on Pet enabling Novak to at least *begin* to
start recognising and interpret his lack of emotion and sentiment. Its really going somewhere, and then, nothing. So, given the success of the trilolgy- perhaps there'll now be more! I have never been a fan of this genre but I am seriously hooked. Writer never wastes words (like the main protagonist, Novak). I'm no prude but the only tedious thing is the constant use of the F word. Such a
gifted writer might at least vary it, it not being the only adjective in the battery.
