Very unrealistic. I was raised in that area in the 1940’s and this movie does not at all portray the people in that part of Virginia at that time. Just a hodgepodge of a movie and not worth the time. Typical story line of the widow protecting her farm from the evil coal mine owner with the help of the honest lawyer and her trusted hired hand. Could have been a silent movie in the 1920’s.
