SPOILER ALERT.
I would not say that this was the best thriller. Their are some goods and bads throughout the book. A thriller is supposed to keep us engaged and this book serves that purpose right. The TIMELINE itself was the plot twist. Once you get to understand what was the timeline of each event that was taking place, it becomes easy for you to guess the ending. The was the masterstroke the author played.
Then again, there were some plot holes. Wouldn't it be better if every imp side characters had some roles in the story? I don't think all the characters' stories were much justified.
The character Kathy had a big role in the plot. Kathy not being confronted by his husband after all that happened was kind of shocking for a thriller story.
Theo was more SILENT than Alicia ever was.
Also, keeping aside the other pros and cons of the story, there is something that's making me think.
Can a person, who is already on medication from the last six years or so, write so smoothly for 6 pages on her journal after she is injected with some serious drug like morphine that sent her to coma!? That was a bit odd end for a gripping thriller like this. Alicia getting so much time and energy to write the whole description clearly along with the past incidents and then hiding the journal so well in the painting without her mind getting messed, that was not convincing.
Everybody can give this book a try. It is worth it. If you like messing with your mind reading psycological thriller, it will definitely serve that purpose. But, this book is not flawless. Opinion will always differ with people, but once you get inside this book deeply, there will be questions left hanging on your mind once you finish it....
