Good Lord, it was HORRIBLE! Had they presented Jack as someone on the autism spectrum (and please note that I have an old friend on that spectrum and he is very smart and personable), it would have been a superb story, but Sheesh, why-oh-why did he leave his mouth open so much, walk around like an automaton (sometimes) and get picky about stupid, little things, e.g. "but you weren't being careful" (the shaving scene). I know many viewers had a beef about the narcissistic with her--and I know narcissism because I had to live with one for a while--but I absolutely didn't pick it up (or, perhaps more likely, turned it off before there was any clear indication of it). I would really love to hear someone defend Jack's too often apparent dumbfoundedness. What was I missing?

I could have done without the sex and soap opera of the first three seasons (the fire stuff kept me watching), and the Gorsuch guy was about as rediculus as they come), but the actions and relationships always pulled me through (oh, and the unbeatable casting!). On to season seven now.

Predictable with irrational character decision-making and big, gaping holes in the storyline. Central relationship very poorly developed with cliches everywhere. Had very, very little value in the overall scheme of things. Material would have suited the old "Movie of the Week" television format. A sad slide downward for Wahlberg.
