I am a strong Christian! I do believe that their is a very disturbing message that unfolds in the movie. You need to understand that religion can be completely perverted by mankind to fulfill a human desire or to create control over another, but in this case with the young girl she's being held responsible for her brother being in Heaven! (her brother is dead)! Her family thinks she's the chosen one to suffer (Jesus Christ has already done that) meaning the family has already convinced their daughter to starve as long as she prays 24/7....that is brainwashing plus child abuse folks. When the girl starts getting more and more sick, your good common sense will kick in. Jesus already paid for our sins, i would not need to let my child starve and loose her teeth and vomiting all hours of the day if my King already suffered on the cross....oh one more thing to mention is that the whole town new the girl's story and everyone pretty much were holding her accountable to keep starving while staying alive which makes the family that more guilty! They were dealing with the grief of losing their other child and it just honestly messed up the parents head....The nurse is the only person who holds the truth in the film. Very good film, definitely watch it, it's worth it!!!!!!!
