It focuses to much on non-related issues, and I think tries to serve to much towards the LGBTQ and Feminist extremists. It sacrifices accuracy of the comics in every known cannon in order to be an "anthem" to the above groups. The fact is that Superman is significantly more powerful than Supergirl. The Martian Manhunter is arguably much more powerful than Superman; but they have reduced both characters so much in order to make Supergirl seem more powerful, with Superman admitting multiple times in the show that he thinks she is much stronger. I love the character Supergirl. I think she is incredibly important, and I was super excited to see that show. Truth is I actually like her better than Superman. But I stopped watching this show as it just a put excuse to push liberal agendas, and not even in a subtle manner. I am very disappointed in this show.
