The book “13 Minutes Before Midnight” by Abhaidev is a science fiction thriller. Abhaidev, is an avid reader who devours classics and science books, has crafted a gripping tale. The book revolves around a murder mystery involving a killer who murders women and teleports them so no one can find them. The story opens with Rehan sipping coffee in his lounge when, suddenly, a naked woman is dropped into his flat out of nowhere. The plot centres on Rehan's mission to stop the murders from happening. Throughout the novel, we see various aspects of Rehan's life, including his relationships, friendships, and personality. The story provides numerous hints while keeping readers clueless. Just when we think we've identified the murderer, it turns out to be someone completely different. The story offers a rollercoaster ride, making readers feel restless, shocked, and surprised. Abhaidev introduces so many characters that I, as a reader, always suspected one or another to be the villain. The story is engrossing, and the suspense is maintained remarkably well. Abhaidev has used the science fiction genre beautifully in this story, blending philosophical views and sci-fi elements intelligently. Personally, I loved the last scene of the story and how smartly Abhaidev projected it. As my first novel by Abhaidev, it captivated me from start to finish. And if you are someone who loves sci-fic thriller then this book is definitely worth your time.
