Hollywood tries to cash in on the predatory and abusive environment that THEY created, allowed to flourish, and tried to cover up.
And it cost them about $60,000,000 in losses. I suspect this is partly because someone at Universal way smarter than both those who made this movie, and those depicted in it, realised this would be seen as the hypocritical cash grab it is and decided not to heavily promote it. And partly because even with context and subject matter aside its just so bad.
Even if you still support the MeToo movement and don't believe it turned into a viscous which hunt you won't find anything interesting, ground breaking, hard hitting, exiting, moving....(basically all the things that make these investigative journalism type movies worth watching) here, it's no Spotlight or All the Presidents Men, it ain't even Drop the Dead Donkey.
I have honestly never written this in a review before because It always makes me cringe when others do, but...If I could give this movie 0 star........aaah couldn't do it! LOL
