First off, i love the soulsborne series with bloodborne as my favorite all time game. But elden ring took the souls formula and threw it out the window and replaced it with open world making the game feel dry to me. What made soulsborne games to me was the exploration of a deformed castle/gothic city/what ever sekiro is. But now from the beginning you may go anywhere and almost everywhere with no effort and in my opinion its not soulsborne anymore, just a game that took the mechanics and gave the middle finger to alot of veterans. The game is good by all means but i just find myself bored after an 1 while i can beat bloodborne in one day without losing interest.
