Spoiler alert!! Starman was what could be, at least some of it, that would happen if an alien came to Earth. You find yourself hoping against hope that the alien, which his name we never find out, stays with Jenny or Jenny leaving with him. The ending raises alot of questions. Does the government find out that she is pregnant with the hybrid child? What will become of Jenny? Will the government lock her up and throw away the key? John Carpenter blew us all away with his directing talent. And leaving us wanting more. By the way, Nasa did launch probes called Voyager 1 and Voyager 2. And they did have disks in them with pictures, sounds, and a map to our solar system. The only thing the movie got wrong about the probe was the rock music on it. It was NOT I Can't Get No Satisfaction by The Rolling Stones. But Johnny B. Goode by Chuck Berry. If there is life out there and they come across these probes, we will probably be long gone. But there is a little piece of the human race that we left behind to hopefully teach others about us.
