A great new iteration of the series. New characters and plot. Human characters who are smart, strong and well-written are a pleasant change from many of the cringeworthy humans in the previous series and movies. The importance of family is one of the cornerstones of the series. Including how families change, support and accept each other, Dot Malto is a great character. A former soldier and amputee. The loss of her leg, in no way hinders Dot. She is smart, strong, and a fierce defender of her family; human and Terran. Alex Malto, is a bit of the goofy Dad, but he is a devoted and loving husband and father. He proudly teaches his human and Terran children his Filipino heritage. The Terrans, Twitch, Thrash, Nightshade, Hashtag and Jawbreaker are the Maltos' Terran children who they love unconditionally while teaching them important life lessons. Robby and Mo are the Maltos' human children who find the Terrans and immediately bond with their new siblings. Arcee is, fierce, tough and ready to fight and all too willing to remind Bumblebee of how important training the Terrans is. Optimus is endearingly dorky and well-played. Good guy Megatron is fantastic. Rory MCann gives Megatron a wry wit and a wonderful Easter egg when he refers to Twitch as 'little bird" There have been amazing action sequences. The visuals of Skywarp's warpgate are great. Definitely watch Transformers Earthspark.
