I feel like gen 5 gets alot of irrational hate. In my opinion, I think it is an almost perfect generation. I might be a bit biased because it was the first pokemon game I ever played, but here is my opinion on it. The starters: All likeable and either cute or cool looking (maybe exept pignite.) Snivy is my number 1 favourite pokemon. (By the way, i also see snivy getting hate for looking bratty but that's just dumb. It can't help how it looks, and species isn't personality.) The story: Brilliant! Probably one of the best stories in a pokemon game! I haven't played Black 2 yet (Black is my favourite, reshiram all the way!) But I can't wait to see how the story carries on! And finally, the sprites: I love the moving sprites. They look great on the DS screen. I think the movements look natural and the animations are smooth and well done. The 3D moves, especially fusion flare, look incredible in battle as well. Say what you like about the game, I think it's near perfect, but what do I know? This is what I think.
