Babel is a masterpiece. While I was reading the book parallelly I was reading about the places mentioned there, the historical events of colonialism and opium war, about the translation and the languages mentioned in the book. This is a historical fiction and I was so much convinced that everything in the book has really happened. This is the beauty of a writer to keep the reader wandering, help them know the history of what the world has been through before us.
