This show is surprisingly phenomenal. I was a teen when YouTubers were all the rage, but I never went on the Miranda Sings bandwagon, so I'm viewing this character with fresh eyes. The acting is incredible. It feels like these are real, organic people. The character Miranda is absolutely horrid, causing nothing but pain to all those around her with her extreme narcissism and selfishness, and the juxtaposition of her sane, grounded sister, Emily, trying with all her might to keep the family functioning adds the necessary layer to make this story and these characters real. As the pain Miranda causes people gets brought to her attention, it almost seems like the character will have an "aha" moment and change her ways, but, just as real people, she feels through this only to forget and cause more pain, refusing to see herself as the root cause.
It's very well written, as are its characters.
