2 stars for bad writing, but 5 stars for it being a movie that I can see children loving. The plot glosses over most of the limits of the powers, creating arbitrary roadblocks that seem incoherent and random. Ignores its own timeline for a rather obvious twist. The twist itself is fine, but the timeline suggests that somehow a 16-year-old has been orchestrating a plot since she was 6. With how little the powers are explained, let alone how twins somehow do not both have them... We are left wondering why they need to learn anything about their powers, let alone why they have limits to them. These complaints ruin the movie for me, however, it is decently acted. The visuals pass muster, and none of the effects are too obviously garbage. Though it does fall into some obvious tropes it is overall enjoyable.
