I saw this movie at a midnight premiere. The Super Mario Bros Movie is an adorable upbeat adventure with a lot of callbacks to past titles. The voice actors were all able to breathe new life into these iconic characters without completely changing our perception of them. Action sequences are enjoyable and at times absolutely epic. As for downsides, the movie suffers from pacing issues, lack of character depth, and a good amount of jokes that don't land. Overall it wasn't the masterpiece we wanted, but it still is an enjoyable hour and a half that most audiences are likely to enjoy.

Unprofessional Manga is Filled With Character I remember a while back i found this at Comic Con. I was very skeptical at first because the author was clearly desperate to sell a book. However, after an extremely awkward encounter with her, I purchased the book and left it on the bottomless and endless void of my desk drawer where i would never see it again. Until one day, i mustered up the courage to venture in there again to see what i could find. I came out of the fight with The Lost Space Warrior vol 1. The Lost Space Warrior starts out with two typos on the first two pages (which i wouldn't have noticed if the author hadn't immiedetly pointed it out when i bought it) but who cares. The first thing you'll notice it that the whole thing is illustrated with pencil. sorry im running out of time to write to sum it up the pencil gives it more character though it feels and looks unprofessional its a hidden gem once you give it a chance
