As someone who watched the Karate Kid movies from the 80's, I liked them, but wasn't enthralled by them. I started watching the show because I ran out of things to stream. After the first couple of cheesy episodes tried to pull the nostalgia card, the series opened up and quickly became a new concept, quickly interjecting itself as a "must watch" show. It's literally one of the best shows available. 5 out of 5 stars.
