"Pretty girls should always smile!"
Anyone who gave this 1 star entirely missed the point of the movie. From the first second to the last this was stunning and harrowing. As a woman I felt the moral of this movie in my bones and very being. Women in society are seen as sexual objects for others to enjoy, we must base our worth on how others see us and interact with us. If we aren't loved by all then we aren't worth anyones time- not even our own.
Social media, the entertainment industry, and the beauty industrial complex tells us we are replaceable, that there will always be someone thinner, prettier, younger- someone better. This movie touches on all the right points and highlights just how messed up this world is.
I've watched hundreds of horror movies, not many have left me speechless or kept my attention for a whole 2 hours and 20 minutes. This is a must watch in my book.
