This book is definitely thought-provoking. Williams' writing style is a blend of prose and poetry. His treatment of entering the minds of various characters can require re-reading a paragraph to gain fuller under standing of each one's thought processes, but once done, it seems to grip the reader and made me ( at least) want to finish it to it's conclusion. Some of my confusion was no doubt related to the style of writing and vocabulary which more commonly reflected his era, rather than mine. I liked this book because he chose to tackle a difficult subject inusing a unique and overall effective way.
