Wanted more (funny from a 2hr30min film) because I didn't see or feel enough. Don't understand Wim Wenders - came upon this one after being blown away by one Fassbinder film after another. They're totally different filmmakers cut from (supposedly) the same cloth. The young kid was really awesome and humorous in the film (read that he is Karen Black's son and she helped him memorize lines which showed as absolutely brilliant for both of them) I love Harry Dean Stanton and Dean Stockwell, I dig Robby Muller (he's shot some of the best films ever made in the history of cinema) and wanted to like it more but I couldn't. Worth a watch for anyone interested in the long, slow meditation that is American and European art cinema. Although I don't particularly care for this film I still wish they made more like it.

Wonderful independent film. Chris Bouffard is one hell of an actor. Same is said for Ms Wallack's steady, powerful performance. This story of love, loss, recovery and triumph was sussed out and examined longer than most indies are allowed due to common constraints. Very nice to see something like this executed in such a deep, penetrating manner. Good work all around.
