Did the director’s parents divorce necessitating a house move and was this a tragic, horrific experience that scarred the entire family for life? If so let’s hope making this film was a cathartic experience that now allows all to heal from the terrible hurt and mild inconvenience of moving from one place to another. Whatever I can certainly understand the lengths the protagonist goes to to avoid not being able to live in the same house she’s always lived in. I mean who wouldn’t right? And eventually she’s indulged and can continue going to the school she doesn’t much like while her family scrimps and saved and her dull bro sulks in the corner. Brian Cox, sack your agent.
