The writing is bad. The diverse cast is the best part of the show. But they fumbled the ball. The show is neither great nor terrible. At best it's just okay. At worst its not great. My feeling is that it's not great. The dialogue is so poor, the exposition is heavy, the characters are thin and then there are like the stupid tidbits like burning down a stone building and the incredibly kitsch witch chant. Also, a jedi committing suicide seems incredibly dark and just a poor narrative choice for the franchise. But the anti-woke stuff is nonsense. The diverse cast is what made me interested. The showrunner just wasn't up to the task of developing a good show.
