This is smart, sophisticated story telling at its very best. EVERY camera angle, movement, word, and idea was constructed in a thoughtful (and often genius) way to take us on a long, breezy, FUN and provocative ride through a seedy but well-intentioned world (sorta) of a quasi-innocent, highly skilled con artist and his typically-accidental cohorts. The characters are flawed and lovable, terrifying and accessible. This is not a spin-off, it stands on its own—although you need to know Breaking Bad to fully appreciate it). I already miss my weekly fix of Saul and I cannot wait to see what the filmmakers, actors, crew and… criminals… do next.
