Disclaimer:haven't seen the film, only some of the offending clips (which I understand make up 10%ish of whole thing).
Whatever the intention.. This film has sexualised and exploited girls/children. People actually trained children, choreographed and filmed this. There are laws against this.
Can't believe that an adult somewhere down the line didn't raise objections and safeguarding concerns. Did nobody at Netflix (NOBODY) think this through.
I understand that the film was a critique of the sexualisation and exploitation of children... Message clearly lost by actually sexualising and exploiting children🙄
Something is going wrong at Netflix. There is an increasing focus on pushing against safeguarding boundaries. Why? What is going on, and by who? This needs urgently addressing.
