First of all I congratulate and commend Jessica for standing up, standing strong, speaking the truth, and seeking healing from that tortuous situation she once believed was a family. This book should be read by anyone wishing to understand how a malignant narcissist functions, and how dangerous such people truly are, especially to those closest to them. Toby Willis is a text book case of narcissism, if not also a sociopath. Thankfully he is in prison where he belongs. The reason I gave the book a 3 star review is because I ended up speed reading through many portions of the book where I felt Jessica went into extraneous detail about concerts, auditions, and band trips. None of this added anything to the main focus of the story which is about abuse in all it's forms (emotional, psychological, sexual, and physical), and her ultimate escape from such tyranny at the hands of her father. I wish her well, and I am glad to know she has emerged from cruelty & chaos, to a life of peace & love!
