Watching Mr Brando behave, react and being in the moment was a watershed moment in film acting. The sexuality the vulnerability and the sheer power and poetry . Nobody, I mean nobody behaved like that in film history. Every actor who came before were mannered. Brando destroyed what was considered dramatic acting. It marked the beginning of a new style of acting that film had never seen the likes of before. We may take it for granted today, but in 1951? It was shocking to see. Mr Brando established the blue print for contemporary film acting and gave us our freedom that is still relevant some 70 years later. He was a the only genius.
