Christopher Langdon is smart enough to use big words to describe simple things to make himself sound smart, his arguments for God existing aren't groundbreaking, they are recycled philosophical ideas as old as antiquity but using linguistic word salad with a side of jibber-jabber to sound smarter than he is. His only "genius" is the ability to fool naive people into believing he is actually intelligent. He is a "fairly smart confidence man."
