I really wish this film could have taken a different turn, because the first part is so very good in writing and directing. Therefore, I recommend watching it until you first see Nureyev. Quickly turn it off and use your own imagination of how you'd like the film to build to a finish. Nastassja Kinski is such a great actor in this film. She shows her skills in varying emotions. She is likeable, innocent, sincere, funny and gorgeous.

Far-fetched situations that are tiresome, especially with the cringeworthy reliance on Asian stereotype buffoonery. I only watched it for the visual effects of Albert Whitlock and even those shots were flawed. I felt nothing for the characters.
