4 episodes in and it's clear this is a pale imitation of the US show. Whereas Nev and Max appear genuinely invested in the process, these two millenial/snowflakes presenters are so contrived and superficial in their approach it's hard to know what's real or what's fake. Their language is peppered with idiosyncrasies of youth culture in the 21st century: everythings "amazing", or "mental" and "ohmigod". Their reactions to anything that might be deemed revelatory are priceless. It consists of hand covering the mouth from the hapless presenters followed by a fast/edit/ or cut to the wounded party. All very manipulative and exploitative. I wish they would do a catfish type show focusing on older people trying to navigate online dating with some serious debates about how it feels to try and engage with the process.
