The first 4 years of the show was pleasant and entertaining enough with it's depictions of somewhat realistic familial, political and geopolitical situations and events written as storylines. I'm currently watching the 6th and final season and can honestly say that in the last 2 seasons the show has devolved into a "woke" mess of far left talking points which parallel the current state of affairs in our country today. Elizabeth becoming President in this last season shows her to be changed into a totally unreal do-goody type of President and depicts her as being at odds with any official, both foreign and domestic with conservative values. Her husband who starts as an ethics and religion professor was given a position as an advisor to the last President and he continues on in the same official role with his wife who is now President. What started as a decent show has become unwatchable and torturous. Constant mentions of climate change, patriarchy, and all of the far left's typical narrative have become overbearing. I'm in this far so will watch the last episodes but will be fast forwarding through the tedium as to end the pain quickly.
