I loved the show and I'm really hoping for a second season. I love the balance of humor and sadness that the show is constantly bouncing between. The characters themselves are almost always opposites. In the beginning Claire is hopeful and in love with Henry, Henry himself is hesitant and fights back in a way using his humor as a sheild. But then they flip and she tries to push back and he becomes willing to give the relationship a try. This push and pull becomes smaller and smaller as time passes, as they become more in love with each other, despite all the problems. And Although she meets him first as the older version, that version is only a fantasy. When she meets the younger who is the more irresponsible version of him she is almost blindsided. They both know what will come to be so they continue to meet. They fight almost every time but they become closer with each other as time progresses. And they fall in love. And the details between the older Henry and younger Claire's past allows you to understand hard it is for her to let him in and makes it all the more meaningful when she does. They both grow as people together. She excepts him as a person not a fantasy version and he learns to let in the happiness and hope he can have.
Remember she spends her time with the one she learned to love.
