Dolly, is no doubt one of the greatest Country stars of all time. She is not a Rock Star. She has a well deserved "home" in country music. I am a Skynyrd fan, and listened to her rendition of Free Bird What was a song by a young handsome and barefoot singer, that meant he was leaving his Ole Lady to fly like a Bird with his sexual freedom; was turned into a maudlin melody of someone leaving us too soon and flying off to heaven. I do believe Ronny Van Zant is in heaven and as such, he would like us to rock on to the music 70's style. Look at the Oakland concert and watch the Chicks reaching a sexual high as Free bird reaches its climax. Free Bird is not Karaoke night in the nursing home. This attempt should have never been done.I mean does Frankie Valli cover "Why must I be a teenager in love". Tom Brady should not be enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame and Dolly Parton should not be in the Rock and Roll hall of Fame. Period.
