Picture every quality of the original Hollow Knight that you loved, and completely disregard them. Silksong is full of nothing but lightly tweaked assets and graphics, allowing it to truly embody the "Hollow" in its name. Every section of the map leaves you feeling like production stopped 75% through, consistently falling short of any excitement that(rarely)builds along the way. One full playthrough completed, and I can safely say it's not worth a replay, nor was it worth the $20. It's a shame, so many years of excitement whenever even a whisper came from Team Cherry about a release, only to be met with disappointment. If you're on the fence about giving it a try, hop off the fence and walk away, there's plenty of better ways to spend $20
