The characters are by far the weakest I have ever played in any game, boss fights or semi boss fights, will kill you in 2 hits! I have the entire series of fatal frame and this is the only one that I hate so far! You are often backed in corners or have limited space to fight and often, the camera obscura misses the mark on your enemies when you have them in view on a critical hit. Another thing I couldn’t stand was the camera angles when walking or running. You can’t use the right ps4 controller stick to pan around. It has to be moved by either looking through the camera or pushing the run button in whatever direction the characters are facing. Towards the end, there is NO SAVE OPTION!! So “when” you die, you have to start over from an hour of gameplay! Not even sure I’ll finish this one at this point.
