I just came from the New Mutants this evening and although the story line deviated a lot from the comics I thought it was an enjoyable film to watch. I think the characters of Rahne and Illyana were spot on and thought the pacing was good as well as the acting throughout the movie. The movie's end climax was a little disappointing as I expected a more explosive finale. Overall, I think the characters were good however I think the character of Roberto was a little off as the comic book character version of him was more the hot head quick to action and the movie version was more of timid and afraid and thought the character of Dani was under used and not the typical take charge as she was in the comics. Overall though it was a fun movie to watch and would definitely love to see it again.
