I don't believe covid 19 was predicted by this book. The fictional bio weapon Wuhan-400 and the Covid 19 has differences such as its incubation period and its fatality rate. And also, the original version was "Gorki-400", named after a Russian city but was renamed later "Wuhan-400". The fictional virus affects the brain stem whereas covid 19 affects the respiratory system. The claim that covid was man-made was just conspiracy theories, so I don't think that Dean Koontz predicted it. I just finished reading this yesterday night. My mother asked to read this as it is said that the book predicted the covid 19. I only intended to just read the part where the covid related part was but little did I know it was on the end of book😂 So I ended up reading the whole novel and I actually enjoyed reading it. The suspense, the horror, the mystery, I liked it. It kept me engaged with the plot, having my own theory and predictions at what will happen next. I admit being cringed at the idea Danny having psychic abilities, it's just so crazy. Haunting his mother, writing cryptic messages, sending his mother nightmares, having telekinetic abilities to open elevators and gates, jinxed the telephones, send the helicopter flying upwards, and having the ability to survive from the deadly virus numerous times, whatever whatever, it's just so crazy because looking at these incredible abilities of the boy, he can actually escape the Sierra lab all on his own, without putting his mother at near death. And I can't help laugh at the dialouges sometimes, some of the dialouges are ridiculous. But, it's a good novel though. I wanted to recommend this to my friends.
