While the story is derivative, it is well done. Jason is excellent as Aquaman, and his foes are worthy of his efforts. While Black Manta seems convoluted in his “evolved” form, it works as a quality sub-villain and nemesis for years to come. Most importantly, this movie has heart and the characters each have their own arcs which we can enjoy as the movie progresses. While not the best Superhero movie out there, it is still a must see for any comic book fan.
