I was an avid fan of the series but I dont think the films work as well. This one particularly seemed formulaic and predictable. The main storylines - the film crew and the villa - didn't really make any sense to me. The side plots were rushed and not fully explored. It was a bit twee to be honest and I felt the writing was not up to the standard of the series. It was a tad am dram and maybe should have stopped after the first film.
