I was hoping for a Last Kingdom or Vikings quality of show. Instead it feels like a cheap 1970's Sunday evening drama. Apparently it's a big budget telling of the story. I don't know where the budget went but it wasn't on CGI, props, script, historical accuracy research, and apart from the main characters the acting is pretty poor. I'll watch it to the end and then completely forget about it.
