Very enthralling series. It could have been based on a true story. Excellent acting. I felt for Julia who, in her sixties, finds real love. However, I do find the title Gold Digger misleading as the young man was ready to leave her when she thought he was after her money. The end is very moving as the whole family is there, around her to support her and her new husband. The truth is out; Julia, a beaten up wife who had to suffer in silence for many long years, finds happiness at long last, the age difference is forgotten, the family reunited, the 1st husband totally rejected by friends and relatives. I enjoyed the film, good BBC entertainment.
