Having only read to the end of the discussion between Zossima, Paissy and Miusov, I had to google what others had thought about what had been said. It occurs to me that men of such low relative social stature truly out thought the people of our time, and with such well ordered thoughts! Of course, these are all Dostoevsky’s thoughts and words but I can’t help but believe that he came upon these having discussed them with others of his time, so they were important to them and a popular subject of conversation. All of it makes me all the more concerned for today’s society, where the topic of conversation leans toward the frivolous and political, failing to address the important. So, being a product of my time, I give this work a nine out of 10 so far; great lyrics, easy to dance to.
