I have to confess to trying to read the book for the last week or so, but struggling with some of the rambling elements early on as well as the banal cheap jokes and language. Saw the book on the bookshelf and the name of the author and thought looks like a great companion to my holiday, I love history and a blend of humour around it, especially some of the lesser known aspects of individual stories. I am sadly disappointed. I am currently in two.minds as to whether I can complete it.
