Truly terrible awkward exchanges between characters and even more implausible than the other books. I’ve read all six so maybe I got lost in the fantasy and forgave ghe writing but this time it was so bad I almost gave it up. Where Riley excels is when she’s heavily researched the context. Character-building and connections are not her thing. Can’t see me reading the next one.Now being strung out for the sake of it like the author doesn’t actually know where to go with it and the publishers just see the $$ potential of more and more books.
