Sasha Cohen drags out an old character that was funny and innovative 14 years ago, and rushes it out as cheesy pre-election propaganda.
The jokes largely fail as:
(a) it's all old rehashed jokes we've seen before. Gross-out scene, cue shocked bystanders, add a few fake interviews etc.
(b) it's too obvious how woke he's trying to be. The charm of the original was that he lampooned everyone. It ends up seeming pretty childish and forced.
But if you find woke establishment comedians like John Oliver funny, you'll probably soy grimace ecstatically the entire way through.
