I read this book many years ago, I am thinking I need to read it again. I have always said that science fiction books are precursors to our future. Last week I was in a ,motor vehicle office. The girl behind the desk was explaining to a customer that we were "in the temporary permanent office for motor vehicle. " Neither one found anything odd about that double speak. More and more often we hear that the holocaust did not happen. Hamas ,unprovoked attacks Isreal citizens, raping women in the streets, beheading infants and young children, killing indiscriminately, kidnapping people, citizens from around the world. N0 one kicks up a fuss. When Isreali soldiers take on the job of trying to free the hostages, try to defend themselves and their country, suddenly they are condemned. We make criminals into heroes we are truly living in 1984
