I believe this movie part 1 of Costner's four part series Horizon does an excellent job setting the stage of post-Civil War America. The scenery is breathtaking. Part 1 shows some of difficulties and challenges with settling areas inhabited by the Native Americans faced by both the Native Americans and the settlers . I thought the plots were well thought out and they left me wanting more. I am glad I was able to see part 1 in the theatres and now i get to watch it again at home. Horizon is an outstanding achievement and a reminder of Kevin Costner’s legacy. I can't wait for part two and the reminder of the series to come out.
