While I am certainly no expert on French History, I am assured there are more fascinating moments to depict in the life of Napoleon, than him screaming at his wife for 20 minutes of screen time for not being able to produce a child, followed by numerous depictions of the Emperor fornicating with his wife like a dog that was released from a cage. Napoleon refused to enter the mind of the great battle strategist, showing glimpses of his conquests, and focused more so on snapshots in which had no linearity. There is no plot to Napoleon, as other biographical movies employ, leaving the film senseless, forcing countless instances of filler scenes that can only be described as distasteful and dull.
