Usually it's easy to see the movie sitting in cushioning chair and eating popcorn but not this one. This one will stir your soul, your humanity to the core and will make you very uncomfortable, but dare to watch it which is probably only 5% representation of sheer brutality happened in real.
Kashmir files is based on true facts , true gruesome facts happened in Kashmir in 1990. Absolutely no one ever should be forced out of their motherland or homes against their will but no choices were left for Kashmiri Pandits and loud and clear announcements were made Convert , leave or Die !
This is a story of Kashmiri Pandit Pushkarnath who is a survivor of this exodus and witness of brutality on his family and on his clan. He has four friends and which represents politicians ( Mithoon Chakraborty) , Law and order ( Puneet Issar) , Media ( Atul Shrivastava) and an educated common man (Prakash Belawadi). These four friends despite of having knowledge, awareness and will how they were helpless and supresed and can't help a peaceful law abiding citizen of Kashmir while he was in deep trouble. This movie represents today's youth ( Darshan Kumar) and how they are misled, misinformed and misguided by politics, historians and today's media and journalism and how He the youth find their way back to the truth.
After Tashkan files , again very much impressed By Vivek Agnihotri's stroy telling art where he just lay all facts , all three sides of the story - Victim, suppressor and the truth and builds story around how one finds the truth. It's a story of how narratives are always being twisted and presented to the common public.
We as fellow Indians have failed our fellow Indians and they are still suffering and looking for the justice and respect !
There are no news, no stories and no coverage of what actually happened but there are SURVIVORS - A broken Soul. Broken souls don't speak but they must be heard !! These broken souls are not looking for justice but just hope - Hope to return back to their motherland and hope to live peacefully in their homes !! Is it too much to ask ??
Ask yourself few heart wrenching questions though you may not have all answers it will steer you towards truth :
What is a real secularism ?
Are India actually being divided on name of secularism?
Are we being blindfolded towards truth by media ? By historians ? By educational system ?
Is it too much liberal democracy is harmful ?
Is so called Modern liberal socialist's idolism is actually harmful or helpful ?
Who are the real suppressor and who are the sufferer and victims in so called Modern secular democracy?
There was one scene in movie it says your new leader is hungry towards that people should be scared of him !
If that's the real hunger I fully support it as YES terror should be scared of peace! Brutality should be scared of humanity and hate should be scared of love !
Remorsefully, I pledge all Indians to go watch this movie !
